Waterscapes holding natural waste

     …e v a p o r a t e

And become traces of microscopic worlds

Time is measured here by the traces left behind.

Waste Landscapes is a spatial archive of my wonder at wilderness. I collect my wonder at nature’s resilience and catalogue them into waterscapes, which the sun encrusts into ceramic over time; fossilising their epehemerality into permanence. These seeds, flowers and mosses are nature’s free will growing amongst the cracks of an otherwise heavily planned society. Each waterscape holds a moment when nature has taken me by surprise - when a flower has sprung up in the most unlikely place, right where man hasn't planned it.
